2026 Pasta Nite is BACK!

We hosted our Pasta Nite back in Oct. What a great time was had by all.


E.O.C. winter celebration:

E.O.C. Holiday Gift give away Dec 20. We were excited to be invited to share in this event!  While families gathered for fun and food, we were able to provide books for every child.    We were able to accommodate the variety of ages groups who were in attendance.                                   The books that remained, will be added to the E.O.C.’s in-house library. Thank you to both Ann Marie Gailius President and Phyllis O. Burnett, PDP, PSDLtG. for withstanding the cold but sunny day.


                              The Book Fairies and Kiwanis Provide Books to Glen Cove

(Glen Cove, NY) Kiwanis Club of Glen Cove invited Sherry McGrath, Program Director and Stephen Lyne of the Book Fairies to do a presentation on their organization.

Book Fairies is a Freeport based non-profit organization that sources and redistributes books to Title I school districts and under-resourced communities on Long Island, NYC, and internationally.  By providing new and gently used books that are sorted and organized by volunteers and available for distribution to children in a variety of subjects and languages.

The Book Fairies presented its resources to members and program staff from Glen Cove School District, the YMCA, Glen Cove Youth Bureau, Glen Cove Library, Nosh, and Kiwanis.

Kiwanis President Ann Marie Gailius donated and established a Little Free Library located at Glen Cove EOC. Glen Cove Kiwanis members distributed more than 1,100 books to Glen Cove EOC, the Youth Bureau After 3 Program, NOSH, Trinity Lutheran Church and at the Farmer’s Market.  Kiwanis also provided a monetary donation to help continue their efforts.

“Glen Cove Kiwanis invited other community organizations to learn about the Book Fairies. Together, we help more kids learn, grow, and thrive” stated President Ann-Marie Gailius.

Events like these are essential to our community and a big Thank you goes out to our member/host Jeanine DiMenna and her staff at Jeanine’s American Bistro for a wonderful afternoon meeting.

Kiwanis is an international service organization of clubs partnering with organizations committed to serving children in need.

St Patrick’s Day Parade Glen Cove March 23 2025

What a great spring day, the sun was out, the air was crisp and our community was ready to get out and celebrate! Our club invited the kids this time to represent Kiwanis and its mission.

We introduce you to our Glen Cove High School Key Club, their Advisor Kirstin Brosnan and LIU Post Circle K members lead by their President Amy Lewis.

An update to our Little Free Library: The young residents of the GC Gardens have started a book club. Asked for specific books to start, and we look forward to progress reports. For Easter, we participated in the EOC event by sharing magazines and books as an alternative to candy. This idea was well received and we look forward to being invited again.Privacy Policy

Installation: Every year we Install our President,, VP, Secretary and Treasurer, for a 2 year term.

MLK Day: This parade, we proudly walk to share our solidarity to good will and community service. Thank you to our member Lydia for making sure we were in attendance.

Holiday Party: We celebrate our club, its members and other that inter club with us.

K-Kids of Landing Elementary School

Our K-Kids of Landing School are small but Mighty just like our Club! The kids sell pencils and other small items during lunch time and other times throughout the school year to generate money to be donated. This year their donation went to our Glen Cove Youth Bureau. Thank you kids~ Executive Director & Club member: Spiro Tsirkas.

Little Free Library:

Last summer, we donated to our Sunshine Garden Apartment Complex: A Little Free Library. We continue to make donations. Some books are being requested and others are just being enjoyed.
